The Columbia Business and Law Association is thrilled to present the inaugural event in the CBLA Transaction Case Study Series, a case study on an Initial Public Offering (IPO). John Crowley, a partner in Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP's New York office, will lead our discussion on the execution and implementation of an IPO. As a member of the firm's Capital Markets Group, Mr. Crowley works extensively with a wide range of securities, including follow-on equity, high yield and investment-grade debt offerings, and convertible securities. From 2001 to 2007, he was based out of DPW's Hong Kong office, where he worked on a number of record transactions, including the $21.9 billion IPO of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
This event is the first in our newest programming initiative, the CBLA Transaction Case Study Series. Each event in the series will feature an immersive case study through which one of New York's top law firms will introduce Columbia students to the lawyering behind headline deals.
